All Hail Midis!
It's all about the midi (skirts and dresses)! The term 'midi' is a length that is in-between a mini length and a maxi length. The hemline can fall anywhere with the region of the knee and ankle, also known as 'mid-calf.' Consequently, midi lengths have a lot of variation and so every midi skirt and dress will be different from each other; which is ideal for accommodating all heights! All the praise goes to the midi, although they are a love-hate-length for those who prefer more leg on show, they are one of the most versatile garments to have in your wardrobe.
Even though you may not be 100% on midi fashion, the length can be worn at anytime! It never goes out of style and it'll take you through season to season, year after year. If you really wanted to, you could wear the same midi dress/skirt right up to the autumn/winter months; depending on the pattern, fabric and colourway you choose. The moment you lay your eyes on a midi, you'll instantly know whether it'll be for spring/summer, autumn/winter, or both! Conversely, the same doesn't apply for a mini-length without having to wear opaque tights and boots in the colder season.
Don't forget, midi fashion is comfy and classy! For those who enjoy the comfort of loungewear, but fancy a change and an upgrade, a midi will give you that fix. A midi dress/skirt will make you feel all dressed up for the day, minus the fuss about the styling. They don't need much additional accessorising in order to make a statement, the magic happens as soon as you put a midi on and the rest will fall into place. Likewise, if you're in the mood to go out-out and dress glam, all you need is a silky or shimmery midi and a pair of heels. Midi fashion truly diminishes your getting-ready time because you don't need to dilly-dally about the bottom-half, like making sure the legs are moisturised and groomed or worrying if the shoes match exactly. If you're new to the midis, why not introduce them and tantalise your outfits? Once you try them, you'll be wanting to wear them more and more. After all, the midis are the understated stars of the wardrobe that'll always be here for us!
