TACH CLOTHING was established in 2016 by the Uruguayan sister trio, Sabrina, Anette and Patricia Tachdijan, hence the name TACH. Despite the brand being Uruguayan, the sisters' surname is Armenian, in which their great-grandparents immigrated to Uruguay in the early 20s and the sisters' parents met in Uruguay. The family owned a haberdashery store where the sisters enjoyed helping with the gift-wrapping. Their father designed children's clothing in a variety of Uruguayan workshops and their grandfather owned a shoe shop, so the whole family were passionate craftspeople.
Knitting and embroidery are trades that the three sisters chose to reinforce, given that the fashion industry is insatiable with the "buy and throwaway" dynamic, TACH locally produces clothing and supports the national industry.
The sister trio draws inspiration from vintage crafted clothing to create a brand that is fresh, sustainable, playful, detailed and bold.
