The AW20 Drop From Self-Portrait – Bernard Boutique

The AW20 Drop From Self-Portrait

The affordable luxury fashion brand known mostly for it's lace going-out dresses has taken a new direction for AW20 and we love it. Self-Portrait is owned Han Chong, a Central Saint Martin's graduate who launched the brand in 2013. His contemporary designs and detailed femininity has become a hit with women all around the world but more recently, retailers and buyers of the brand have asked for a more versatile choice of styles to choose from, and the latest collection has certainly given us that. Chong said that with so many distractions in our lives, from post-Brexit London (where he is based) to the climate crisis, women need less to fuss with. The lace and diamante encrusted dresses haven't gone anywhere, don't you worry, they now sit amongst a more multifaceted collection with soft tailoring, faux leather, draping and bright pops of colour that are all simply too irresistible not to love. Despite a change in vision, the Self-Portrait ethos is still the same and this collection has kept to being as playful, light and a little bit sexy as it always has been.
