Puffers are here to stay this season as they are lightweight, super insulating and are becoming more and more fashionable. It's typical to associate the puffer jacket with outdoor activities, such as hiking, due to the utilitarian aesthetic of the design. Since the nineties, the puffer jacket has become a staple in fashion; specifically brightly coloured puffers, sleeveless-gilet designs and those that have exaggerated silhouettes. They come in a spectrum of puffiness, so if the larger-than-life ones aren't for you, you can opt for puffers with more of a subtle appearance. Most don't feature excessive padding to the point where it's not too stuffy, and those are ideal for the milder conditions of autumn.

Functionality is key; you want to look good in winter, but warmth should definitely be prioritised otherwise what's the point in wearing a jacket or coat in the first place? The winter can be very cold and can sometimes reach the minuses, but a good puffer will withstand all the elements and help make winter bearable for you. Puffers are investments of a lifetime that will protect you from all the future winters, unless they're too good that you fancy them in multiple colours!
